Once again, the tale of two halves but ND came out victorious in the end. First half, ND started lights out shooting 9-9 with 9 assists. By halftime, ND led 45-25. But as usual, ND got cold and WVU came firing back and a 3 ptr at the buzzer rattled around and then fell out. We may have played our way onto the bubble now. Hopefully the team from the first half sticks around.
Joey Brooks filled in the 7th man spot scoring 5 pts on a 3 and a layup in 9 minutes. Ben Hansbrough had 6pts, 9reb and 10ast. As a team, they were 17-24 on free throws which definitely helped us. WVU was 2-4, so the team played well controlled.
Other top team to lose this past weekend: #1 Kansas, #4 Purdue, #5 Duke, #8 West Virginia, #10 Kansas State, #13 Connecticut, #14 New Mexico, #16 Mississippi. Only Kansas and UConn lost to a ranked team.
