According to this article, http://www.insidemdsports.com/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1024:umd-notre-dame-finalizing-deal-to-play-at-fedex-in-2011&catid=42:footb, Notre Dame is in talks with Maryland to play at FedEx Field in 2011. If true, this would be a more logical opponent and location than WSU in San Antonio. DC is possibly the 2nd largest alumni area after Chicago and provides great exposure to the east coast. Maryland is also an opponent from the area but we would still be playing in a neutral location.
Go Irish!
