Well SC is without a coach and unsure who they'll get. Different stories circulating of who they have and have not contacted. And now back to our regularly scheduled programming with ND football.
Five Early Enrolless Start at ND: QB Tommy Rees, WR Tai-ler Jones, S Chris Badger, CB Spencer Boyd and CB Lo Wood started classes today. Rees is looking to crack the depth chart with Crist's injury. Also, QB Nate Montana is back with Notre Dame after spending last semester at Pasadena City College where he got some playing time, but only completed 35% of his passes.
5th Year Seniors Returning: WR/KR Barry Gallup Jr, OL Chris Stewart, CB Darrin Walls and OL Dan Wenger will be returning for a 5th year. It is unclear what Bobby Berger's status is.
QB Hendrix may decide tonight: After Weis was fired, QB recruit Andrew Hendrix began to waiver on his commit and has recently visited U. Florida. He still loves ND and hopefully will be reaffirming his commit to us.
Another summary: Slightly more information on Hendrix, Nate Montana returning and the possibility of taking a JuCo that played behind Crist.
Interview with Coach Kelly: If you have an ESPN Insiders account you can read the whole thing. If not, you can only read two questions. His response to the second question is interesting, "As I spend more time with the University of Notre Dame, some of our issues are self-inflicted wounds."
