- Troy Niklas was the signing day surprise and a good steal from USC.
- Stephen Tuitt was the big story. Originally verballed to ND, then swayed to Georgia Tech. The next morning Kelly, Diaco, Martin and Elston show up at his door and win back his commitment.

We ended up losing on Bennett Okotcha, he signed with Oklahoma but he originally switched from Wisconsin so was flaky from the start. Niklas was the good surprise on the day.
