Gody did play but didn't start. The team played differently when he was and wasn't on the floor. When he was in in the first half, Marquette went on a 7-0 run to make it 19-8. Gody went back to the bench the team responded with an 10-0 run of their own to close the gap to 19-18. Carleton Scott made the game tieing 3 as time expired and Nash and Abro carried the team through overtime. 10 of the 12 OT points came on free throws.
ND will play in the BigEast Tournament on Wednesday night as the 7 seed, facing the winner of the 9/15 matchup of Seton Hall - Providence.
After this current 4 game win streak, beating 4 teams above them in the standings and 2 on the road, there is talk that ND is off the bubble and in the tournament now. Let's win our first game in the BET and assure the birth.
