#13 St. John's 55 - #5 Marquette 57
#10 Seton Hall 56 - #7 Notre Dame (22-10, 10-8) 68
#11 Cincinnati 69 - #6 Louisville 66
After going down 11-2 and taking two timeouts, ND went on runs of 7-0 and 12-2 to end up leading 28-21 at half. From there ND scored the first 7 points of the second half and went on to win 68 - 56.
Gody had 15pts 9reb at half time and finished with 20pts and 10reb all coming off the bench. And who says bench points are over rated...
This was ND's 5th consecutive win and basically locks a bid for the NCAA tournament. Expect to hear our name called on Sunday. We'll see how many games we should and will be able to win once we get there.
Tomorrow's games:
12p #8 Georgetown vs #1 Syracuse
2p #5 Marquette vs #4 Villanova
7p #7 Notre Dame vs #2 Pittsburgh
9p #11 Cincinnati vs #3 West Virginia
Gody Watch -- 20pts / 10reb
With at least 2 postseason games to go
ND
2,450 pts -- 111 pts to go
1,213 reb -- 120 reb to go
BigEast
1,349 pts -- 57 pts to go
672 reb -- 30 reb to go
*Note: there is at least 1 BigEast game remaining and at most 3 games remaining...does anyone know if the BigEast Tournament games count towards BigEast conference stats? If they do...some things could be potentially possible...just saying.
Go Irish!
