The Irish were winning 9-1 in the top of the 7th. After a lead off single, Kelsey got the call to head to the plate. After watching the first pitch go by for a ball, Kelsey fouled the next one off. The third pitch of the at bat, Kelsey hit a grounder to short and beat out the throw for her first hit! On a wild pitch, she moved to second. A pair of singles moved her all the away around the bases and Kelsey scored.
ND is now riding an 11-game win streak against Loyola-Chicago on Tuesday and then another Big East series at home against Rutgers this weekend.
