A much better showing than against Rutgers. ND shot 54% in the second half. Gody had 37 pts and 14 rebs, staying close to the basket. He was 15-25 and missed two 3ptrs. This game was more to his performance last year. Tonight was his season high and 11th career 30pt game, his career high is 40 which he scored against then #5 Louisville last year when ND was coming out of a slump and had two-a-days to wake the team up. After the 8am practice this past Tuesday, Gody again shined.
Abro fouled out with 4 minutes to go and he added 22 points. Hansbrough once again was near a triple double with 12pts, 9asts and 8reb. Joey Brooks made a long three, about 5ft beyond the arc, as the shot clock expired to add 3 pts to his season total. Interestingly enough, TJ only had 1pt going 0-6. But he added 8 assists to 3 turnovers.
Gody Watch -- 37pts / 14reb
He's the Big East's 5th all-time leading scorer.
He's the Big East's 2nd all-time rebounder behind Derrick Coleman (SYR) with 701.
