NBC to alter commercials

NBC to broadcast ND games under NFL format

As Brian Kelly hinted to in his press conference yesterday, Swarbrick and himself were involved in talks with NBC regarding timeouts. Kelly mentioned the fast paced no huddle offense and not wanting to lose momentum as the game continued. Due to these talks, NBC will be changing the broadcast format. Instead of four 2:30 minutes commercials per quarter, there will be five 1:45 minutes commercial breaks. This results in less overall commercial time (10:00 versus 8:45). Now, of course, the question becomes when these commercials will occur during game play.
